Nilly is currently a contract attorney in the Commercial Litigation group at Perkins Coie, LLP. Prior to that, she was a Law Clerk and Bailiff to the Honorable Mary I. Yu at the King County Superior Court.

Nilly received her B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems from the University of Washington. She spent several years as a Consultant Program Manager at the Boeing Company and as a Business Systems Analyst at the GE Capital Corporation. During this time, she also founded a contemporary jewelry company, as she enjoys designing jewelry, and founded an e-commerce logistic solutions company.

Nilly then decided to pursue a law degree. She obtained her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law, where she had an opportunity to volunteer at the Immigration Clinic and the Language Bank and work on various projects for the Center for Corporations and Society.

Because of her experiences and her background as an immigrant from Iran, Nilly is committed to resolving issues that disparately impact women and minority groups. She is also on the board of Washington Women Lawyer King County Chapter and co-authored a judicial training manual and resource guide composed for the Gender and Justice Commission of Washington State Courts.

Nilly also co-authored an article titled “Mayday Payday: Can Corporate Social Responsibility Save Payday Lenders?” published in Rutgers Journal of Law & Urban Policy, which focused on corporate social responsibility in the payday lending industry.

In her spare time, Nilly enjoys traveling, lifting weights, and practices golf.
